Sleeping Figure

Often I think of my paintings as considerations; in part because they are introspective, but also because they represent several threads of thought or reference. Here I was thinking about myself at my most vulnerable and unaware. I was thinking too about how this vulnerability relates to masculinity, or at least traditional, societal tropes of masculinity.
